Consultation
Consultation to separate Yate Academy, Primary and Secondary Phases from September 2018
This Consultation is open from Monday 16th April 2018 and will close on Monday 14th May 2018
We are seeking your views on the proposal by the Trustees of the Greenshaw Learning Trust to separate the Primary and Secondary Phase of Yate Academy, creating two separate schools from the current all-through school.
There are benefits to this separation for both schools including formalising the leadership of the schools in line with other schools within the Trust, the relationship the schools will have with OFSTED and other external bodies and how much funding is allocated to the schools.
The existing strong relationship between all phases of the school will continue if the separation goes ahead which includes sharing expertise and resources and the day to day operations will continue in their current form. Support for the improvement journey for both schools will continue from the Greenshaw Learning Trust and there will continue to be shared operational resources and support such as HR, finance, premises and facilities.
We welcome your feedback on this proposal. We have three ways in which you can provide information on your views regarding the proposal to separate the school.
